Yes. We can treat all patients, even if we are not a preferred provider for your fund, you will still receive a rebate. We offer quoting facilities so that you are aware of what your gap will be up front. Nobody likes surprises.
Gosh! There are so many different funds out there and each with different levels of cover. Some health funds even modify their levels of cover to ensure that you get the most from it.
There is homework! Our advice is to get online and start comparing the different funds and their levels of cover. Look at the type of cover you want and the premium that is being asked. Then talk to the different providers. Get a feel for their customer service. You might find they will consider additional benefits to get you to join them such as reduced waiting periods.
All health insurance policies are different. What they will and wont cover will vary from one fund to the next. So we do recommend that you chat with your health insurance provider to understand what they are willing to cover.
Yes! You will still be eligible for a rebate from your health fund, but you will need to pay your account in full. We will give you an itemised invoice/receipt which you can then submit to your health fund for a rebate. Unfortunately, the HICAPS machines do not support manually entering your membership number. The information needed is actually stored on the magnetic strip on the back of the card, so we will need that.
