Invisalign® Clear Aligners in Perth

Transform your smile with Invisalign; the clear, comfortable alternative to traditional braces.

Invisalign® Open Day

Our Invisalign® Open Day on Thursday, April 30 has concluded! Stay tuned, as we’ll be posting an article about the turnout and answering some of the common questions from the community then.

What is Invisalign®?

Invisalign® is a modern orthodontic treatment that uses a series of custom-made, clear aligners to gradually straighten teeth.

These thin, removable trays are worn day and night, applying gentle, consistent pressure to guide your teeth into alignment, while allowing you to remove them for eating, drinking, brushing, and flossing.

Even in adulthood, teeth can continue to shift over time, and Invisalign is designed to correct this movement comfortably and discreetly.

Throughout your treatment, you’ll progress through a series of aligners, each one bringing you closer to a straighter, more balanced smile.

Invisalign® Clear Aligners Vs Traditional Braces

Invisalign® and traditional braces are both effective orthodontic treatments, but they differ in how they straighten teeth.

Invisalign:

  • Clear, removable aligners custom-made to fit your teeth
  • Popular choice for adults seeking a discreet orthodontic option
  • Aligners can be removed for eating, brushing, and flossing
  • Makes it easier to maintain oral hygiene
  • Allows you to enjoy your usual diet without major restrictions

Braces:

  • Uses fixed metal or ceramic brackets and wires
  • Apply continuous pressure to gradually move teeth
  • Often suited to more complex orthodontic cases
  • Remain in place throughout treatment
  • May require extra care when cleaning teeth and avoiding certain foods

How Does It Work?

While there’s a lot to love about Invisalign, it may not be the best option for everyone. At your initial consultation, one of our friendly dentists will take photos of your teeth and assess whether Invisalign treatment is right for you. Here’s a general idea of how the Invisalign process works:

Step 1: Digital Scans & Smile Preview

  • Receive digital 3D scans of your teeth, no messy impressions
  • See a smile simulation showing how your teeth could move during treatment

Step 2: S200 Deposit & ClinCheck® Treatment Plan

  • If you’re happy to move forward, place a $200 deposit to proceed to the next step
  • This deposit goes toward your treatment cost if you continue, and allows us to prepare your ClinCheck® appointment
  • At your ClinCheck appointment, your dentist will walk you through your personalised treatment plan, showing the step-by-step movement of your teeth
  • You’ll also have the opportunity to request adjustments so the plan meets your expectations

Step 3: Start Your Treatment

  • Once your plan is approved, your custom aligners are ordered
  • Begin wearing your Invisalign aligners and start your journey to a straighter smile
  • Each set of aligners is worn for 1-2 weeks (or as advised by your dentist) before moving to the next set
  • You’ll attend regular follow-up visits so your dentist can check progress and ensure treatment stays
    on track

Step 4: Enjoy Your New Smile

  • After completing your aligner series, you’ll be able to enjoy your newly straightened smile
  • You’ll also be issued a set of Vivera retainers to wear nightly, helping keep your new smile in place and maintain your results long-term.

Be Clear On The FAQs

How long does Invisalign treatment take?Icons/Icon_ArrowDown_48x48_Grey

Treatment time varies depending on the complexity of your case. Most patients complete Invisalign treatment within 6-18 months, but some major cases may take more time.

How often do I need to wear my aligners?Icons/Icon_ArrowDown_48x48_Grey

For the best results, Invisalign aligners should be worn for 20-22 hours per day. They should only be removed for eating, drinking (anything other than water), brushing, and flossing.

Are Invisalign aligners noticeable?Icons/Icon_ArrowDown_48x48_Grey

Invisalign aligners are made from clear, medical-grade plastic, making them far less noticeable than traditional braces. Most people won’t even realise you’re wearing them.

Does Invisalign treatment hurt?Icons/Icon_ArrowDown_48x48_Grey

You may feel mild pressure or discomfort for the first few days when switching to a new set of aligners. This is normal and means the aligners are working to move your teeth gradually.

Can I eat and drink with Invisalign?Icons/Icon_ArrowDown_48x48_Grey

You should remove your aligners when eating or drinking anything other than water. This helps prevent staining and damage to the aligners

How do I clean my aligners?Icons/Icon_ArrowDown_48x48_Grey

Aligners should be cleaned daily using lukewarm water, a soft toothbrush, or Invisalign cleaning crystals. Avoid hot water, as it can warp the plastic.

How often will I need dental check-ups during treatment?Icons/Icon_ArrowDown_48x48_Grey

Most patients visit the clinic every 4-6 weeks so the dentist can check progress and provide the next sets of aligners. This will be determined by your dentist.

What happens after Invisalign treatment?Icons/Icon_ArrowDown_48x48_Grey

After treatment, you’ll be provided with Vivera retainers to wear nightly. Retainers help maintain your new smile and prevent teeth from shifting back over time.

Is Invisalign suitable for everyone?Icons/Icon_ArrowDown_48x48_Grey

Invisalign can treat many orthodontic issues, including crowding, gaps, and mild to moderate bite problems.

During your consultation, your dentist will determine whether Invisalign is the right option for you.
